In this Kanji list you will learn to read and write positional words in Japanese using Kanji.

When you learn kanji it’s important to practice the proper stroke order as well as learn the various translations of each character. See below for my writing of each character demonstrating the stroke orders, sorry if my writing looks messy!

Keep in mind that each character in Kanji has multiple ways of reading. In this guide I will focus on the most common form to get you started.

  • Above, Up

KANJI FOR DOWN

Kanji For Down

TRANSLATIONS

  • (した, shita)
  • Down, Below

KANJI FOR LEFT

Kanji For Left Position

TRANSLATIONS

  • (ひだり, hidari)
  • Left

KANJI FOR RIGHT
